On Saturday 27 June, we conclude the academic year with a nocturnal #pilgrimage on foot to St John’s Cathedral in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. We start at 22:00 PM an leave at midnight from #studentenkerkmaranatha and will arrive at the Cathedral early in the morning.

Making a pilgrimage is a beautiful and simple way of praying, of “bringing yourself,” with all your needs, worries, and gratitude, your relationships and interests. The most important thing is not how we feel or what we are able to say or think, but to walk and to restart continuously, helped and encouraged by a company. There will be moments of prayer and moments of silence. If God wants, it will be good weather, and we’ll walk under the stars and see the sunrise in the morning.

We’ll start the pilgrimage with the Mass here at Maranatha and will conclude it with the morning prayer, bringing our prayers – symbolically, on a piece of paper – to the statue of Our Lady. Then we’ll eat our breakfast in the garden of the seminary, and each will go back to Tilburg.
