NOCHE DE ALEGRIA - 10.000 WYD participants, grand witnesses from around the world, great music, Eucharistic adoration

The NOCHE DE ALEGRIA is one of the biggest evening events of WYD and is organised by the Emmanuel community. A Night of Joy - with music, impressive testimonies, the Priestband, archbishop Charles Chaput (Denver), Eucharistic adoration with procession and the Sacrament of reconciliation.

Special Guests: Jesús Navas (football world champion, tbc), Andrés O’Hagan ("The catholic David Copperfield"), Mons. Juan Antonio Reig Pla (bishop of Alcalá, tbc), Mons. Joaquin Maria Lopez de Andújar (bishop of Getafe, tbc), Chiara Amirante (founder of Nuovi Orrizonti, tbc), Mons. Yves Le Saux (bishop of Le Mans), Alegría Band.

Madrid Arena: At walking distance of the Plaza Mayor (15 min by metro or a beautiful 30 min walk)

Madrid Arena is a covered and air-conditioned stadium in the idyllic Casa de Campo park. We suggest you walk to Madrid Arena in the afternoon starting from the Plaza Mayor over the river Manzanares and along the shady Paseo de Extremadura. In front of the stadium, dinner will be served between 6-7.30pm to all registered WYD-pilgrims. The doors open at 7pm. After the event (12pm), the metro will bring you back into the city from the nearby "Lago" station (line 10).
