On Saturday, 29 faithful of Opus Dei from 14 countries will be ordained as transitional deacons at St. Eugene’s Basilica in Rome. They will be ordained priests on May 23, 2020.

The ordination ceremony will take place at 10.30 in the morning in Rome, at the Basilica of Saint Eugene (Viale delle Belle Arti, 10). Unlike the priestly ordinations, this ceremony will not be live-streamed online.

Bishop Philippe Jean-Charles Jourdan, apostolic administrator of Estonia, will ordain the new deacons. He is the second bishop the country has had since the Protestant reformation in the 16th century.
