WACOM stands for the World Apostolic Congress on Mercy. It is a major international Catholic (and ecumenical) gathering focused on proclaiming and living out the message of Divine Mercy - the infinite love, forgiveness, and hope that God offers to humanity.

The congresses are held every three years in different countries and bring together thousands of participants, clergy, religious leaders, and laypeople from around the world. The events feature talks, testimonies, prayer, Masses, workshops, and cultural elements centered on themes of mercy, evangelization, repentance, and practical works of charity.

History
The initiative was launched under Pope Benedict XVI, drawing heavily from the teachings of Saint Faustina Kowalska (the Apostle of Divine Mercy) and Blessed Michael Sopocko. Previous editions took place in:

• Bogotá, Colombia (2014)
• Manila, Philippines (2017)
• Apia, Samoa (2023)

The 6th edition (WACOM 6) is taking place right now in Vilnius, Lithuania, from June 7–12, 2026. Vilnius is considered the “City of Divine Mercy” because it is closely linked to the origins of the Divine Mercy devotion through St. Faustina and her confessor.
